Aria Vega has signed a record deal with Warner Music Latina, announced Tuesday. The Colombian singer recently earned a Latin Grammy nomination for best new artist and scored her first Billboard No. 1 on Latin Airplay with 'Chévere (premium_remix)' with Ryan Castro. The label's managing director praised her cultural impact and global potential.
Vega, 29, hails from Barranquilla and draws musical influence from Shakira, Carlos Vives, Joe Arroyo, and Totó la Momposina. Her sound blends Caribbean Coast rhythms with a distinctive mezzo-soprano voice, and her social media presence helped spawn the "Costeñita Core" movement. She was previously named Billboard's Latin Up & Comer for July, and her track "Chévere" landed atop Billboard's midyear list of best Latin songs.
The deal pairs Vega with Lionfish Entertainment, the management firm led by Rebeca León, who first recognized the artist's potential upon hearing her sing. Vega is currently promoting her single "Compa Coleto (uy_como)" and is scheduled to appear at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Week in Miami Beach, running Oct. 19–22.
