Garth Brooks Ends Radio Partnership with TuneIn as Stingray Takes Over
Garth Brooks and TuneIn have ended their three-year collaboration on the Sevens Radio Network, which included stations like The BIG 615 and The Garth Channel. The dissolution follows TuneIn's acquisition by Stingray Group in December 2025. The stations will sign off, and the future of the network's staff is unclear.
The Sevens Radio Network launched in 2023 with ambitions for seven stations, though only three materialized. The BIG 615 debuted first with a lineup including Storme Warren, Monta Vaden, Maurice Miner, and Bob Richards, followed by Tailgate Radio and a revival of The Garth Channel, which had previously aired on SiriusXM. The dissolution follows Stingray Group's December 2025 acquisition of TuneIn.
While The Garth Channel and Tailgate Radio sign off this week, The BIG 615 continues broadcasting through year's end without Brooks' affiliation. Brooks' representative has not commented on potential staff layoffs. Meanwhile, Brooks remains active with his arena tour, a 2027 Stagecoach headlining slot, and a first-time vinyl release of his 1998 album Double Live in November.
This split could reshape how country artists distribute their music to global audiences, particularly for fans who relied on free, live-streamed stations. The transition may signal a strategic shift under Stingray's ownership, potentially affecting listener access and the careers of on-air talent whose positions remain uncertain. Artists and platforms may reconsider partnership structures as consolidation in audio streaming continues, with implications for how niche music communities connect with their audiences.
