Katseye's Story Comes to Picture Book Form for Young Readers
Penguin Workshop will release 'Katseye: A Who HQ Illustrated Biography' in March 2027, a 40-page children's book chronicling the girl group's journey from auditions to touring. The cover features all six members, including Manon, who is on hiatus, and Sophia, who stepped back for health reasons. The book is available for preorder now.
The illustrated biography is part of Penguin Workshop's Who HQ series, which has previously released similar children's books about pop figures like Harry Styles, Zendaya, Taylor Swift, and Bad Bunny. Author Ruqayyah Daud, a self-described K-pop fan, wrote the text, while Romanian illustrator Alexandra Badiu provided the full-color artwork. The book is priced at $8.99 and spans 40 pages.
The cover notably includes all six members despite current lineup changes. Manon announced a temporary hiatus in February 2026, while Sophia stepped back in August to focus on her mental health, missing the European leg of the Wildworld Tour. The book's narrative begins with the group's first tour announcement, when all six members were still performing together on their North American dates last fall.
This release could introduce KATSEYE to a much younger audience, potentially expanding their fanbase among children who may not yet engage with music streaming platforms. The inclusion of members on hiatus may also offer young readers a gentle, age-appropriate introduction to concepts like mental health breaks and changing group dynamics, normalizing these experiences within the framework of a beloved entertainment property.
