Frances Valentine Partners with Mary Tyler Moore Vision Initiative for Capsule

Frances Valentine has launched a limited-edition capsule collection celebrating Mary Tyler Moore's style. Twenty percent of net proceeds will support the Mary Tyler Moore Vision Initiative, which works to preserve and restore vision for people with diabetes-related eye disease. The collection includes apparel and accessories inspired by Moore's memorable fashion moments on television.
The capsule draws from Moore's television wardrobe, which featured capri pants, fitted knits, and A-line silhouettes that defined her polished on-screen persona. The collection spans apparel with select accessories, and its campaign features figures including Deborah Roberts, Rachel Dratch, Mindy Cohn, Bernadette Peters, and Rowan Henchy.
Arons' connection to Moore runs through her memoir, which takes its title from the theme song of Moore's sitcom. That book chronicles how Arons and Kate Spade bonded over the show in college, a friendship that later birthed both the Kate Spade label and Frances Valentine, cofounded by Arons, Kate Spade, Andy Spade, and Paola Venturi. The collection launches Tuesday online and in stores, with a second chapter planned for spring.
This collaboration could raise awareness of diabetes-related eye disease among fashion-conscious consumers who might not otherwise encounter such health information. The pairing of a beloved television icon with a lifestyle brand may also demonstrate how legacy figures can drive charitable engagement across generations. Proceeds could meaningfully support vision research, while the campaign's diverse participants may broaden the initiative's reach beyond traditional medical audiences.
