Sebadoh's 'Harmacy' Gets Expanded 30th Anniversary Edition
Sub Pop will release a deluxe reissue of Sebadoh's 1996 album 'Harmacy' on November 20, featuring 16 bonus tracks including five previously unreleased recordings. An alternate version of 'Beauty of the Ride' is now streaming. The set includes live BBC sessions and has been remastered by JJ Golden.
The reissue arrives after the album spent years out of print, restoring international availability through Sub Pop. The set spans 35 tracks across two LPs or CDs, with JJ Golden handling remastering. Five previously unreleased recordings join alternate takes, a studio B-side, and live BBC sessions from the period. The alternate “Beauty of the Ride” is now streaming as a preview. Lou Barlow’s 2012 comments reveal tension around the original sessions, including pressure to replace drummer Bob Fay, which the band resisted.
