Jacksonville Fair Relocates to Larger Normandy Boulevard Grounds
The Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair will move from its downtown location to a new 82-acre site on Normandy Boulevard for its Nov. 5-15 run. The new fairgrounds include over 5,000 parking spaces, a livestock barn, indoor exhibition space, and a 10,000-capacity outdoor amphitheater. National music acts and a rodeo are planned for the expanded venue.
The fair's departure from its longtime downtown home ends a roughly 70-year chapter for the city. The new 82-acre property at 13601 Normandy Blvd. provides substantially more capacity, including over 5,000 parking spaces, a dedicated livestock barn, indoor exhibition and concert areas, and a 10,000-seat outdoor amphitheater. This expansion directly addresses the space constraints that had limited the fair's growth in recent years.
Programming for the Nov. 5-15 run will lean heavily on the larger footprint. Beyond the traditional midway rides, carnival games, livestock shows, and agricultural competitions, organizers have scheduled national music acts for the amphitheater and a rodeo. Local vendors and live entertainment will be spread across the property, making the fair a more sprawling, multi-day destination than its downtown iteration.
The relocation could significantly alter the fair's audience and regional reach, as the larger parking capacity and amphitheater may draw visitors from across Northeast Florida who previously avoided downtown congestion.
