Her written record includes advocacy for stricter abortion drug controls, yet she repeatedly deferred to existing FDA standards during questioning, a stance that drew frustration from both parties on the committee.

Committee chair Bill Cassidy pressed for additional restrictions on abortion medication, while Sen. Lisa Murkowski warned that such requirements would disproportionately harm rural states like Alaska. Cassidy has not yet committed to supporting her nomination.
