SonicStrategy Boosts SYN Token Holdings and Issues New Equity Options

SonicStrategy has purchased an additional 260,000 SYN tokens for about $50,000, bringing its total holdings to roughly 760,000 tokens. The company also granted 4.085 million stock options under its 2025 equity incentive plan, exercisable at C$0.205 per share. The options vest in two tranches during 2027.
The company's latest purchase follows a 500,000-token buy announced the prior day, reflecting a stepped-up accumulation of SYN. These tokens connect to the Synapse ecosystem, where Synapse Labs is developing Hypercall, a decentralized options protocol. The purchases align with SonicStrategy's stated treasury strategy of expanding exposure to on-chain derivatives.
The option grant covers 4.085 million shares at C$0.205, with vesting split evenly between March and September 2027. SonicStrategy describes itself as a digital asset infrastructure firm operating validator nodes and staking operations. CEO Dustin Zinger cited growing regulatory interest in tokenization and 24/7 blockchain markets as encouraging signals for the sector's transition.
This move signals growing corporate appetite for holding tokens tied to emerging DeFi protocols, which could accelerate institutional participation in on-chain derivatives markets. Shareholders may face increased exposure to cryptocurrency volatility through both the token holdings and potential dilution from new options. Regulators watching tokenization trends could feel pressure to clarify rules as more public companies adopt digital asset treasuries, potentially affecting market stability and investor protection frameworks.
