Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 Smart Glasses Debut in India from Rs 44,300

The third-generation Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses have launched in India, starting at Rs 44,300 for select frame and lens combinations. Additional variants are priced at Rs 46,500 and Rs 50,100, with styles including Aviator, Wayfarer, and Zena. The new models carry a modest price increase over the Gen 2's Rs 39,900 starting price.
The Gen 3's six-microphone array represents a notable engineering shift, designed to suppress up to 90 percent of ambient noise for clearer voice commands in challenging environments. Battery improvements extend single-charge use to nine hours, with the charging case adding roughly 50 hours of supplementary power.
A new customizable action button provides direct access to MetaAI, while Dolby Atmos spatial audio recording is slated to arrive via a software update later this year. The lineup spans Aviator, Wayfarer, and Zena frame styles, available exclusively through Ray-Ban's official Indian online store.
The Gen 3's arrival in India could accelerate mainstream adoption of wearable AI devices, particularly among tech-savvy urban consumers who value hands-free assistance and content capture. The modest price increase over Gen 2 may keep the glasses accessible to early adopters, while improved audio capture and MetaAI integration could reshape how users interact with daily tasks. However, privacy considerations around always-on recording and microphone arrays may prompt broader societal conversations about consent and surveillance in public spaces.
