Binance Lists Hyperliquid Token, Removes Several Margin and Spot Pairs

Binance will list Hyperliquid's native token HYPE on September 24 at 11:00 UTC, with trading pairs against USDT, USDC, and TRY, and withdrawals starting the next day. The exchange will also delist multiple margin pairs, including NOM/USDC and 1MBABYDOGE/USDC, on September 25, closing all open positions. Additionally, several spot pairs such as AIXBT/USDC and ENJ/USDC will cease trading on September 25 at 03:00 UTC.
The Seed Tag designation on HYPE signals Binance's classification of the token as a newer, higher-risk asset, a category reserved for projects with limited track records. Hyperliquid's substantial $22.96 billion market valuation places it among the largest cryptocurrencies, making its exchange debut a notable event for traders seeking exposure to perpetual futures and spot markets.
The margin pair removals affect both cross and isolated margin accounts, with seven pairs removed from cross margin and five from isolated margin. Binance will automatically close all open positions and cancel outstanding orders during the roughly three-hour update window. The simultaneous spot delistings of seven USDC pairs, including AIXBT/USDC and ENJ/USDC, also terminate associated trading bot functionality.
The simultaneous listing and delisting actions may affect retail traders who hold positions in the affected margin and spot pairs, potentially forcing unexpected liquidations or manual transfers before the deadline. The HYPE listing could draw new participants to Hyperliquid's ecosystem, though the Seed Tag warns of elevated volatility. Institutional and casual investors alike may need to reassess portfolio allocations as Binance streamlines its USDC offerings, possibly signaling a broader industry trend toward consolidating liquidity in fewer, more actively traded pairs.
