Will Conklin receives Southern Berkshire Chamber's top business honor
The Southern Berkshire Chamber of Commerce named Will Conklin its 2026 Business Person of the Year during a Sept. 24 gathering at Catamount Mountain Resort in Egremont. Conklin founded the environmental youth group Greenagers in 2008 and also works as a managing partner at Konkapot Tree and Timber and runs Sky View Farms with his family. The event highlighted his local business and community involvement.
Will Conklin was named the Southern Berkshire Chamber of Commerce’s 2026 Business Person of the Year at a Sept. 24 gathering at Catamount Mountain Resort in Egremont. The award spotlighted his wide-ranging local business and community work.
He founded Greenagers in 2008 and remains its executive director. He is a managing partner at Konkapot Tree and Timber in Ashley Falls, which does sustainable forest care, produces lumber, and offers custom sawmill work. With his wife Amelia and daughters Vera and Penelope, he runs Sky View Farms in Sheffield. He serves on Sheffield’s Finance Committee and has been on boards for the Upper Housatonic Valley National Heritage Area and the Berkshire County Farm Bureau.
The recognition may draw more attention to youth environmental programs, land-based trades, and small farms in the Berkshires. Young people involved with Greenagers could gain visibility and mentorship opportunities, while local businesses may see stronger networks around conservation and agriculture.
