Tremblay, now 19, first drew wide attention at eight as Jack in Room, acting opposite Brie Larson. That role made him a young Screen Actors Guild Award nominee and placed him in adult professional environments early. In Unabomber, he plays the younger version of Ted Kaczynski, a Harvard student subjected to disputed psychological experiments under Professor Henry Murray.
The narrative follows Kaczynski's path toward a nearly 20-year mail-bombing spree that killed three and wounded 23, while an FBI agent, Joanne Miller, leads the manhunt.
