Cricut unveils StickerPix devices for at-home sticker printing and cutting

Cricut has launched two new machines, the StickerPix Print and StickerPix Print + Cut, aimed at making custom stickers at home. The Print + Cut combines printing and cutting for the first time, and both models use dye-sublimation plus a laminate layer for water, scratch and fade resistance. They are available now starting at $169 and $299, require Cricut Design Space, and produce kiss-cut stickers rather than fully separated die-cut stickers.

Cricut already sells machines for cutting, embossing, and heat pressing aimed at home crafters. Its new StickerPix line focuses on stickers: the smaller Print model measures 7.8 by 5 by 3.5 inches and handles 4 by 6-inch photo paper or Cricut pre-cut sticker sheets. The larger Print + Cut measures 8 by 11.3 by 4.1 inches, accepts 4 by 7-inch sticker sheets and 4 by 6-inch photo paper, and can cut custom shapes.

Both devices use dye-sublimation, heating dye onto materials, then apply a laminate that resists water, scratches, and fading. Earlier Cricut machines needed an inkjet printer and special laminate sheets for comparable output. The StickerPix models produce only kiss-cut stickers that remain on one sheet, require Cricut Design Space, and may steer users toward Cricut Access. They are available now at $169 and $299, with starter supplies included.
