Although it has been available for some time, the device remains the company’s highest-performance streaming player and is said to beat many newer alternatives. It offers HDMI passthrough, Ethernet and Wi-Fi options, and an Alexa voice remote.
Its hardware includes a 2.0GHz octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 4K output, HDR10+ support, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi 6E. Audio capabilities cover Dolby Atmos, 7.1 surround, and HDMI audio passthrough up to 5.1. A recent Amazon software update also refreshed the menu interface.
