Timofeeva cruises into Porto Open quarter-finals
Maria Timofeeva beat Kajsa Rinaldo Persson 6-3, 6-0 in the Eupago Porto Open round of 16. The top seed and world No 87 moved into the quarter-finals, where she will face seventh-seeded Gabriela Knutson. Timofeeva had previously defeated lucky loser Sofia Johnson in straight sets.
