Bitcoin ETF inflows continue but momentum cools sharply

US spot Bitcoin ETFs have drawn more than $2.8 billion over six straight sessions since September 17. Daily inflows peaked at $998.9 million on Monday before slowing to $190.7 million on Thursday, an 81% drop in the pace of new money. Bitcoin traded around $83,800 after briefly rising above $87,000 earlier in the week.
US spot Bitcoin ETFs have now recorded six consecutive positive sessions since Sept. 17, gathering over $2.8 billion. Monday's $998.9 million was the year's best daily haul and largest since Oct. 2025; Tuesday brought $714.7 million, Wednesday $346.9 million, and Thursday $190.7 million. Bitcoin briefly topped $87,000 before easing to about $83,800.
BlackRock's IBIT dominated Thursday, taking $162.6 million of the $190.7 million total, roughly 85%. Fidelity's FBTC added $12.9 million, Morgan Stanley $10.2 million, Franklin Templeton $4.9 million and Bitwise $4.1 million; WisdomTree saw about $4 million leave. Across the six days, BlackRock drew around $1.35 billion, nearly half the category's total. Just days earlier, Sept. 15, saw $450.4 million in net outflows.
The cooling inflow pace may shape how everyday investors and institutions view Bitcoin's near-term momentum. If large allocations keep concentrating in BlackRock's fund, market influence could become more centralized, potentially affecting liquidity and pricing. Retail holders may see sharper sentiment swings as ETF demand slows. Yet continued net inflows could still support Bitcoin's adoption through regulated vehicles, possibly making crypto exposure more accessible, while also tying traditional portfolios more closely to crypto volatility.
