Strategy seeks shareholder approval for daily preferred dividends

Strategy's board has approved a proposal asking shareholders to allow daily dividend payments on four preferred stock series, including STRC. If approved, every calendar day would become a record date and payments would be made the next business day, without changing dividend rates or total amounts. STRC would begin with a November 2 payment, while STRF, STRK and STRD would follow in January.
Strategy’s board backed the measure on Thursday, according to an SEC filing. Investors will vote at a special meeting on October 28. The plan covers STRC, STRF, STRK and STRD, and would alter only payment timing, not dividend rates or aggregate payouts. Updated Delaware certificates must be filed before it takes effect.
STRC’s first daily payment is set for November 2, while the other three series would begin January 4. The approach echoes Strive’s SATA preferred shares, which started daily payouts on business days from June 16 at a 13% annual rate. Strategy holds 846,000 BTC, versus Strive’s 26,355, per BitcoinTreasuries.NET.
If approved, this could affect preferred shareholders by changing cash-flow timing, potentially making reinvestment or income planning more frequent. It may also draw attention to bitcoin-linked treasury firms and their capital structures, influencing how retail and institutional investors assess risk. Broader market watchers could see it as another experiment in corporate payout design, though its direct societal impact may remain limited to investors and crypto-finance participants.
