AI Agents Increasingly Use RLUSD for XRP Ledger Settlements

Autonomous AI agents on the XRP Ledger are increasingly choosing Ripple USD for continuous settlements because its dollar-linked pricing offers predictable costs, according to XRPL AI Hub data. XRP payment volumes have been flat over the past week, while prediction markets show weaker near-term confidence but stronger expectations for a later price rally. BlackRock research cited a global stablecoin market above $300 billion and annual stablecoin transaction volume of $11.6 trillion.
XRPL AI Hub figures indicate RLUSD is dominant in direct settlement clearing, across both record activity and the most recent 30-day window. During the past week, XRP-related transaction volume stayed nearly flat, distinguishing the network’s native token from its dollar-pegged counterpart in automated payments.
BlackRock research on AI-driven finance says the worldwide stablecoin market has moved past $300 billion, with $11.6 trillion in yearly transactions. It points to tokenized GPUs and continuous machine payments. Coinbase’s Brian Armstrong expects AI agent transactions to climb sharply. Kalshi’s September XRP market suggests roughly one-in-three odds for $1.70, with lower odds at higher levels.
If autonomous software increasingly settles in dollar-linked tokens, businesses and developers buying computing, APIs, and digital services may gain more predictable budgeting. XRP holders and traders could see the native asset’s role evolve, especially if machine payments favor stablecoins while interbank clearing remains relevant. Consumers may benefit indirectly through faster, always-on transactions, though reliance on private stablecoin infrastructure could raise questions about access, oversight, and operational resilience.
