Before this episode, flood monitoring had already recorded high water or incidents in Buri Ram, Rayong, Sing Buri and Trat, leaving soils saturated. In Bangkok, prolonged rain flooded many roads, disrupted some bus routes and strained drainage pumps directing water toward the Chao Phraya River and the Gulf.
The disruption could affect commuters, tourists and residents in flood-prone districts, especially where surface transport becomes unreliable or bus routes are suspended. Travellers may face detours, airport access delays and limited coastal activities, while local businesses dependent on foot traffic could see reduced custom.
