Nissan Unveils Pixo Electric City Car for Europe
Nissan introduced the Pixo, a small electric city car for the European market, with a 60 kW motor and a 27.5 kWh LFP battery. It offers a WLTP range of up to 259 km and supports 50 kW DC fast charging. Production will take place in Slovenia, with pricing and deliveries expected later.
Nissan’s new Pixo marks its return to Europe’s small-car class, aimed at dense urban settings. It is 3,796 mm long, has a 2,492 mm wheelbase, and a 9.9 m turning circle. Cargo space is 356 L behind the rear seats and 1,221 L with them folded.
The car uses a 60 kW motor and a 27.5 kWh LFP battery, Nissan’s first such chemistry in a European model. WLTP range reaches 259 km. DC charging at 50 kW can go 15–80% in about 28 minutes; 11 kW AC bidirectional charging is standard. Renault’s Novo Mesto plant in Slovenia will build it.
The Pixo could affect European city drivers, fleet operators, and charging networks by adding a compact electric option. If pricing is accessible, it may lower barriers to EV ownership and reduce urban tailpipe emissions. Its Slovenia production could support regional manufacturing jobs. However, actual impact depends on final pricing, market specifications, and charging availability.
