Severe Weather Wipes Out Multiple New York-Area Music Festivals
All Things Go canceled its 2026 New York festival because an incoming Nor’easter was expected to bring dangerous weather to the area. The Sept. 25–27 event was called off with automatic refunds, while the Maryland edition will proceed as planned. CBGB Festival, Oceans Calling, and Global Citizen were also canceled for the same weekend.
The New York edition of All Things Go was scheduled for Sept. 25–27 at Forest Hills Stadium. Organizers said they consulted local officials, the venue, and weather advisers before calling it off as a Nor’easter threatened strong winds, rain, and coastal flooding. Tickets will be refunded automatically to the cards used for purchase. The Maryland edition, running the same dates, remains scheduled.
Other East Coast events also fell victim to the same weekend’s conditions. Brooklyn’s CBGB Festival, Ocean City’s Oceans Calling, and Global Citizen on Central Park’s Great Lawn were all canceled. All Things Go’s New York bill had included Zara Larsson, Lola Young, Muna, Ethel Cain, Rebecca Black, Carly Rae Jepsen, and others.
The cancellations may disrupt travel, lodging, and spending plans for ticketholders, artists, vendors, and local crews who expected a busy festival weekend. Automatic refunds could soften direct ticket losses, but nearby businesses and workers may still feel lost revenue. For fans, the abrupt change may shift leisure plans and reduce access to live music in New York that weekend. The Maryland edition’s continuation may concentrate attendance and economic activity there instead, though weather-related uncertainty could affect confidence in future outdoor events.
