How Airtel Users Can Switch to eSIM Through the Thanks App

From the app’s Home screen, users find Shortcuts and select the eSIM upgrade option. They choose whether the eSIM is for the current phone or another device, then provide a 32-digit EID. Airtel sends an OTP and places a verification call within ten minutes. Once the profile is downloaded, activation is expected within two hours.
This shift may make SIM changes more convenient for Airtel customers, especially those frequently switching handsets or wanting fewer physical cards. It could reduce visits to stores and plastic SIM waste, though users without compatible phones or digital confidence may face barriers.
