The studio plans to mark The Last of Us Day on September 28 with a partnership announcement, a collaboration, digital surprises, and a charity stream. It also noted that HBO's The Last of Us Season 3 has added cast members.
Naughty Dog marked Sept 26 with a free PS5 Welcome Hub backdrop featuring Ellie in both her younger and older incarnations. Owners can apply it through the hub's Change Background menu under the Games tab, with no separate download needed. The studio said more TLOU Day content will arrive Sept 28.
Those plans include a partnership reveal, a collaboration, digital surprises, and a Twitch charity stream tied to No Return. Separately, HBO's The Last of Us Season 3 has cast John Goodman as Joey, Laura Bailey as Seraphite leader Elizabeth, and Ian Alexander in an unnamed role. A third game remains unconfirmed as Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is in development.
