Stray Kids Wrap Latin American Run With Massive Mexico City STRAYCITY Event
Stray Kids brought their STRAYCITY festival-style concert to Mexico City's GNP Seguros Stadium on Sept. 25, closing the Latin American leg of their tour. Around 60,000 fans attended, and South Korea's president and first lady were present. The group performed hits including 'TOPLINE,' 'S-Class,' and 'MANIAC,' with opening sets from Nexz, Renee, and Andrés Obregón.
Stray Kids’ Mexico City stop marked their second appearance at GNP Seguros Stadium, coming 17 months after their first Latin American show there. The eight-member lineup—Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N.—performed a festival-style set with support from Nexz, Renee, and Andrés Obregón.
Roughly 60,000 people attended, according to Ocesa. South Korean President Lee Jae-myung and First Lady Kim Hye-kyung watched from the crowd, while Mexican Culture Secretary Claudia Curiel de Icaza brought ten children from vulnerable communities as guests. The show followed Stray Kids’ Rock in Rio appearance, where they were the first K-pop headliner on the festival’s World Stage.
The event may strengthen cultural ties between Mexico and South Korea, giving Mexican fans and local opening acts wider visibility. For young attendees, especially those given tickets, it could be a memorable access point to global pop. The presence of South Korea’s president may amplify K-pop’s role in diplomacy and tourism, though long-term effects remain uncertain. It could also encourage more Latin American stadium shows and cross-market collaborations.
