Avengers: Endgame Encore adds Loki and Doctor Doom scenes ahead of Doomsday
Marvel's 2019 blockbuster Avengers: Endgame has returned to cinemas in an Encore edition with about four minutes of new footage. The additions include Loki interrupting Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter's dance, and Doctor Doom approaching Bruce Banner. The version opened on September 25 and is designed to lead into Avengers: Doomsday.
Marvel reissued Endgame in an Encore cut on Sept 25, adding roughly four minutes shot alongside Doomsday. The 2019 original closed the Infinity Saga: Thanos's snap was undone, Stark died, and Rogers stayed with Carter. New material has Loki, in TVA attire, interrupt their dance and address both, tying into his multiverse role and Evans's Doomsday return.
Another addition follows Banner in a deep underground military site, where he records a diary after a rare Hulk episode and works on a serum intended to suppress gamma. Doom arrives, says he will take him, and both vanish, leaving green marks. The credits' hammering now accompanies Doom forging his mask, while the TVA finds an incursion involving Earth-10005 and Earth-1127.
Fans and cinema operators could see renewed interest from the Encore run, while dedicated MCU followers may value the added continuity links. Casual viewers might view it as promotion for Doomsday, and online communities could generate speculation that boosts engagement. The approach may encourage studios to treat re-releases as narrative bridges, affecting how audiences experience franchise storytelling and cinema scheduling.
