Leak Points to 2× Teleconverter for DJI Osmo Pocket 4P
A leaked image reportedly shows a 2× teleconverter intended for the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P’s telephoto camera, potentially extending its 60mm optical reach. DJI has not confirmed the accessory, its price, release date, or compatibility. The report suggests the add-on could help with concerts, sports, and travel shooting.
Reports from Chinese outlet IT Home on Sept. 24 and GizmoChina on Sept. 25 circulated an image of a tube-shaped add-on that appears to sit over the Pocket 4P’s top camera. Because the device stacks its wide and tele lenses vertically, the lower wide module might remain usable.
The Pocket 4P’s official optics include a 20mm-equivalent wide and a 60mm-equivalent mid-tele with f/1.8 aperture. If the rumored 2× factor is real, that tele view could become roughly 120mm equivalent. DJI hasn’t confirmed details.
If such an accessory reaches buyers, it may appeal to concertgoers, sports fans, and travelers who want closer shots without carrying larger gear. Creators and casual users could gain more framing options from a pocket device, though added cost, bulk, and uncertain compatibility may limit adoption.
