Henry Holland curates Royal Society of Sculptors exhibition on domestic life
Designer Henry Holland has curated 'There’s No Place Like It,' a Royal Society of Sculptors summer exhibition exploring home as both refuge and mundane space. The show features works by artists including Nick Hornby, Poojan Gupta, and Abigail Norris, using fragments and mementoes to examine domestic meanings. Henry Holland was invited by Caroline Worthington, director of the Royal Society of Sculptors, to curate the organisation’s summer exhibition. The resulting show, “There’s No Place Like It,” runs until 28 November 2026 and gathers sculptors including Nick Hornby, Poojan Gupta, Abigail Norris, Dido Crosby and Victoria Ferrand Scott.
Their works examine domestic life through traces and keepsakes—hair left in a brush, shoes near a doorway, objects that gain personal weight. Holland chose pieces that stirred emotion and hopes audiences leave with wider, more questioning ideas about what home can signify.
