Ng, ranked 18th, defeated India’s Abhay Singh in straight games in 33 minutes. World number five Subramaniam then beat India’s Anahat Singh 11-4, 11-4, 11-7 in 23 minutes. The wins were Malaysia’s fifth and sixth gold medals at the Games.
The result may boost squash’s visibility in Malaysia and across Asia, potentially drawing more young players, sponsors, and grassroots investment.
