KATSEYE Bring 'Wild' Tracks to First 'Saturday Night Live' Set
KATSEYE made their debut on Saturday Night Live on Sept. 26, performing "Animal" and "Hootie Frutti" from their August EP Wild. Four of the six members appeared because Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza are on hiatus for mental health reasons. The performance follows other major U.S. TV appearances and comes after Wild reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

The group formed two years ago through Dream Academy, a HYBE and Geffen project. Their 2025 EP Beautiful Chaos reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200, while Wild later topped it with 170,000 first-week units. Ed Sheeran has a writing credit on “Animal,” which reached No. 24 on the Hot 100.
KATSEYE’s SNL exposure may broaden their U.S. audience and strengthen the visibility of globally assembled pop groups. For fans, the four-member performance could spotlight how groups adapt when members step away for mental-health reasons, potentially normalizing such breaks in entertainment. Brands, tour markets, and chart watchers may also see increased attention around Wild and the upcoming North American dates, though the lasting effect remains uncertain.
