XRP Ledger Activity Jumps as New Accounts and Payments Surge
XRP Ledger data showed newly created accounts rising 535.2% to 2,900 and active accounts increasing 218.1% to 15,300. Successful transactions rose 80.8% to 1.7 million, payment transactions climbed 108.9% to 1.2 million, and transferred payment value jumped 894.3% to about 704.2 million XRP. At the same time, regular transaction users fell 70.6% to 140,000, while XRP burned in fees increased 225.7% to 300.3.
The XRP Ledger recorded 2,900 new accounts, a 535.2% increase, while active accounts reached 15,300, up 218.1%. Successful transactions totaled 1.7 million, and overall transactions hit 2.4 million. Payment transactions rose to 1.2 million, with transferred payment value near 704.2 million XRP. Closed ledgers climbed to 20,400, though average transactions per ledger fell to 116.47.
Routine transaction users fell 70.6% to 140,000, while fee-burned XRP rose 225.7% to 300.3. Ledger intervals averaged 389 seconds, a marginal 0.1% increase. XRP’s price moved from roughly $1.05 at August’s close toward $1.70, later trading near $1.53.
The activity spike may affect XRP holders, payment firms, and exchanges by drawing more attention to the network’s capacity and fee burn. If sustained, higher payment volume could support faster cross-border settlement for businesses and remittance users, though concentration among fewer active users may limit broader adoption. Increased fees burned could slightly reduce supply, but its effect on everyday consumers may be indirect and depend on price and regulatory conditions.
