La DoubleJ Teams With Carolyn Murphy for Spring 2027 Capsule
La DoubleJ presented its spring 2027 collection at Palazzo Clerici alongside a capsule created with model Carolyn Murphy. The collaboration, called “Sisterhood of Light,” revisits the brand’s original Swing dress for its 10th anniversary with jacquards, embroidery, beading and feathered hems. The capsule is set to launch Nov. 5, as the brand also prepares a candle line and a homeware book.
At Milan Fashion Week, La DoubleJ presented spring 2027 at Palazzo Clerici. The show paired the main line with “Sisterhood of Light,” a Carolyn Murphy capsule marking ten years since the first Swing dress. Murphy’s take uses jacquards, fil coupé, embroidery, beading and feathered hems, with seven Swing variations plus four dresses and a jacket. It launches Nov. 5, alongside a candle line and a homeware book.
The wider collection mixed printed caftans and light dresses with structured solids and knits. Feathers, butterflies and orchids appeared across chiffon, crêpe de chine, organza, lace and brocade. Martin said the goal is a higher-end market position, stressing Italian production and craftsmanship while cutting margins to manage pricing.
This collaboration may draw attention to independent Italian-made fashion and to model-led capsule collections, potentially influencing how smaller labels position craftsmanship and pricing.
