Ween to Release 1990s Live Box Set Boognish Provides

Ween announced Boognish Provides, a live box set of unreleased recordings from the Chocolate and Cheese tour. It will be released October 16 via Rhino Records in a 14-CD edition with seven complete concerts and a 2-LP edition with 19 tracks. A 24-minute live version of "Vallejo" from a February 1995 show in Athens, Georgia, is available as a preview.
Ween's Boognish Provides gathers previously unreleased concert material from the Chocolate and Cheese era. Rhino Records will issue it on October 16 in two formats: a 14-CD set with seven full shows from October 1994 through June 1996, and a 2-LP collection with 19 selections. A 24-minute "Vallejo" from a February 1995 Athens, Georgia, performance serves as an early listen.
The box documents a period when Aaron Freeman and Michael Melchiondo shifted from home four-track work to professional studios and began touring with a full band. Across the seven concerts, Ween played 12 of Chocolate and Cheese's 16 songs, plus a rare acoustic "Voodoo Lady," the live debut of "A Tear for Eddie," older favorites, and future album cuts.
For Ween's fanbase and archival-music collectors, Boognish Provides could deepen appreciation of the band's transitional live era and may renew catalog interest during their touring pause. The multi-format release may also encourage similar live-archive projects by other acts, while giving listeners who cannot attend concerts a way to experience historic performances. Its cultural reach may remain niche, centered on existing fans rather than broad mainstream audiences.
