XRP Community Prepares for October Events and Ledger Upgrades
XRP Seoul is set for October 3, 2026, at the Grand Hyatt in Seoul during Korea Blockchain Week, with Ripple executives and South Korean financial firms discussing tokenization, crypto payments, and DeFi. The XRP Ledger will also implement Batch, fixBatchV1_2, and permissions delegation upgrades in October, with activation dependent on maintaining 80% support. If support holds, permissions delegation could activate by October 8 and Batch by October 9.
The Seoul gathering is scheduled for Oct. 3, 2026, at the Grand Hyatt during Korea Blockchain Week. Ripple’s Monica Long and Markus Infanger are expected to join representatives from Kyobo Securities, Woori Bank, and Kakao Bank to discuss tokenization, crypto-based payments, and DeFi. Additional participants include RippleX’s J.A. Akinyele and ecosystem figures Christina Chan and Tatsuya Kohrogi, plus Anchored Finance, Soil, and Datavault AI.
On the technical side, three XRP Ledger updates—Batch, fixBatchV1_2, and permissions delegation—are planned for October. Activation depends on maintaining 80% support across a two-week window. If that holds, permissions delegation may go live around Oct. 8 and Batch around Oct. 9. Ripple’s Swell conference is also set for Oct. 27–29, 2026.
