Eight publicly accessible chatbots were prompted for Bitcoin price outlooks over half-year and three-year windows. Their outputs spanned roughly $25,000 to $500,000, drawing on chart signals, economic conditions, blockchain metrics, fixed supply, and regulatory uncertainty.
Formats differed: some gave one number, others probability bands or scenarios. Examples included a near-$30,000 conservative view, a 40% chance below $35,000 in six months, a 20% chance above $100,000 in three years, a $250,000 bullish medium-term case, and a $500,000 three-year upside tied to strong ETF demand. Several included disclaimers.
The spread of AI-generated Bitcoin forecasts could affect retail investors, traders, and advisers who encounter them online. Wide, conflicting targets may confuse users or encourage caution, while probability-based outputs might promote more nuanced risk thinking. If people treat chatbot answers as guidance, demand for clearer disclaimers, financial literacy, and oversight of AI financial content may grow.
