Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic Credits Authenticity for Band’s Staying Power at VMAs

Nirvana’s surviving members accepted the Video Vanguard Award at the 2026 MTV VMAs. Krist Novoselic said the group’s music still reaches listeners because people want something genuine and uncompromising, crediting Kurt Cobain’s singular vision.
