Michael Kors Taps Meng Ziyi and JC-T for Fall Campaigns
Michael Kors has released two fall campaigns starring Chinese ambassador Meng Ziyi and global ambassador JC-T. Nick Yang photographed both in London, with Ziyi appearing in her first campaign for the brand. JC-T, an actor, singer and dancer, was named a global ambassador last September.
Meng Ziyi, 30, began acting at age ten and has appeared in historical, fantasy, and romantic dramas, including The Untamed, Blossom, Ever Night, and The King's Avatar. She became Michael Kors' Chinese ambassador in March.
JC-T, a Chinese actor, singer, and dancer, was appointed global ambassador in September. The new imagery places him around Trafalgar Square and Westminster Bridge, highlighting outerwear and ready-to-wear. The fall 2026 push spotlights the slouchy Hamilton Moderne and the Nolita, offered as a crossbody messenger and a new bucket style. Ads will run globally this month and through fall across digital, social, and outdoor channels.
The pairing of Chinese ambassadors with a Western luxury label may strengthen cross-cultural visibility for Chinese entertainment figures and could influence how global fashion audiences perceive Asian talent. It may also shape purchasing interest among fans in China and elsewhere, while reinforcing London as a campaign backdrop. The campaigns could broaden Michael Kors' appeal among younger, digitally connected consumers, though actual sales effects remain uncertain.
