First Hydrogen completed construction of an unmanned ground vehicle under its mobile drone UGV agreement. The milestone grants exclusive worldwide patent rights for the patent's remaining life, subject to a 1% royalty on gross sales of products using the patent. The vehicle features modular payloads, morphing wheels, a constant-direction drivetrain, and semi-robotic suspension, with plans to expand modules for defense and security.
First Hydrogen’s completed UGV moves the project from development into a working platform. The milestone gives the company exclusive worldwide rights to the patent for its remaining life, with a 1% royalty on gross sales of products that use it. The design follows a modular open systems approach, allowing items such as batteries, sensors, cameras, robotic arms, or computer cards to be exchanged.
It also includes an auto-opening drone launch and carrier module. Its drivetrain is meant to keep operating after damage or component loss, while a semi-robotic suspension combines active height and attitude adjustment with passive suspension. The company plans future modules for defense and security, including sensors, communications, and surveillance equipment.
