Pixel 11 lets you enable multiple Android screensavers at once
Google's Pixel 11 Pro XL allows users to select more than one Android screensaver, unlike the Pixel 10's single-choice limit. The author found that screensaver options are numbered and can be rearranged into a preferred order. This makes it possible to switch between different displays, including the new Charge screensaver, as needed.
Google previously limited Pixel 10 users to a single screen saver choice, even after adding weather, Google Photos, clock, and smart home controls. On Pixel 11 Pro XL, the setup screen displays numbers beside each option, signaling that several can be active. Users can arrange those selections into a preferred sequence.
Once activated, the first chosen saver appears by default. A long press on the display opens a switch menu for selecting another. The Charge saver shows battery level, time to full charge, date, and time; Home Controls, Photos, Weather, and Clock are also available.
This change may mainly affect Pixel owners who use their phones as bedside displays or smart-home controllers. Allowing multiple screensavers could make glanceable information more flexible, letting people cycle between battery status, photos, weather, and home controls without unlocking. It could also encourage more passive screen use, though the Charge option's dark design may limit distraction and power draw. Broader impact likely remains modest, since it is a platform-specific convenience rather than a universal feature.
