Ukrainian Drones Strike Russian Oil Sites and Defense Targets Overnight
Ukraine’s SBU said its drones struck four oil depots in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai overnight, causing fires at facilities including Edelweiss-95 and Lukoil-Yugnefteprodukt. President Volodymyr Zelensky reported additional strikes on two defense plants and other military-related targets. Russia said its air defenses intercepted 254 Ukrainian drones during the attacks.
Ukraine’s SBU said its Alpha Special Operations Center drones hit four Krasnodar Krai oil depots. Fires were reported at Edelweiss-95 and Din-Yug-Oil in Novotytarivska, Lukoil-Yugnefteprodukt in Pavlovska, and Angelinska in Staronyzhestebliivska. Russian outlet Astra identified Edelweiss-95, a 30-year fuel wholesaler with 4,500 cubic meters storage and a rail spur, as burning.
Zelensky said long-range strikes also hit defense plants in Tula and Voronezh. Russia claimed 254 drones intercepted.
The strikes could affect Russian fuel logistics and military supply chains, potentially complicating operations. Local residents and workers near targeted depots may face disruption, fire risks, or temporary fuel shortages. Attacks on defense plants may slow production and affect employees.
