ULTRALOQ Bolt Mission Smart Lock Enables Hands-Free Entry Using Ultra-Wideband Distance Detection
ULTRALOQ has introduced the Bolt Mission, a smart lock that uses ultra-wideband technology combined with radar-based presence sensing to enable completely hands-free door unlocking by detecting authorized users' proximity and approach direction. The $300 lock also includes bluetooth discovery and local decision logic to differentiate between outdoor approach and indoor movement, eliminating false activations. The company simultaneously launched the Bolt Pro and Latch 5 Pro models, which feature Aliro certification for digital wallet key access, with all three locks supporting Matter certification and compatibility with major smart home platforms.
The three new smart locks represent ULTRALOQ's strategy of offering entry solutions tailored to different user preferences and door types. The Bolt Mission distinguishes itself through its radar and distance-detection capabilities, which work together to prevent accidental unlocking when residents move around indoors.
