A-List Guests Celebrate Veuve Clicquot's New Venice Beach Venue

Charlize Theron, Grace Van Patten and Este Haim gathered at Club Solaire, a new two-story Veuve Clicquot activation on Venice Beach that benefits women-owned food and beverage businesses and local parks foundations. The three-day event featured music from DJ Este Haim, ocean-view cocktails and remarks from Theron about community-building. Attendees included a mix of actors and entertainment figures dressed in elevated coastal-inspired fashion.
Club Solaire represents a shift in Veuve Clicquot's Los Angeles programming strategy. Rather than hosting its traditional Polo Classic this year, the champagne brand opted for an experiential venue combining luxury hospitality with community benefit. The three-day activation partners with two nonprofit organizations: Regarding Her supports female entrepreneurs in food and beverage sectors, while the Los Angeles Parks Foundation focuses on public green space initiatives.
The weekend programming emphasizes culinary excellence and creative collaboration. Six ticketed experiences feature prominent chefs and food entrepreneurs, including Michelin-starred talent and James Beard Award nominees, alongside workshops and public boardwalk activations open to adults 21 and older. This model echoes Veuve Clicquot's 2022 Solaire Culture Exhibition on Rodeo Drive, which commemorated the brand's 250th anniversary.
This event demonstrates how luxury brands increasingly integrate philanthropic messaging into experiential marketing. By positioning the activation around women-owned businesses and community infrastructure, Veuve Clicquot may enhance brand perception among affluent consumers who value social impact. However, such initiatives could be viewed as performative activism—using charitable causes to generate positive publicity and media coverage while maintaining exclusivity through ticket pricing. The actual measurable benefit to the supported organizations depends on funds raised versus event costs.
