Apex Critical Metals Expands Rare Earth Discovery at Rift Project Through Western Drilling

Apex Critical Metals extended the Trinity Zone approximately 200 meters westward through step-out drilling, with key holes returning 3.55% rare earth oxide over 116 meters and 2.35% over 171.5 meters. The company has traced mineralization along roughly 500 meters north-south and more than 300 meters westward, with results released for 24 of 37 completed holes. Apex plans to continue drilling through Q4 2026 and expects to release an initial mineral resource estimate by the end of Q1 2027.
Apex's drilling campaign has successfully outlined a mineralized zone with consistent geometry across a substantial lateral footprint. The company has completed 37 holes to date, with analytical results returned for approximately two-thirds of that total. The assay data shows a geographic pattern: holes drilled to the north and west yielded the strongest intersections, while southern locations returned lower grades accompanied by less favorable alteration characteristics, suggesting mineralization quality may vary across the property.
The company's timeline calls for sustained exploration activity through the final quarter of 2026, followed by compilation of an initial resource estimate within the first three months of 2027. This progression would establish a preliminary quantification of the deposit's tonnage and grade, a standard step prior to any feasibility or development assessment.
Rare earth elements are critical inputs for electronics, renewable energy infrastructure, and defense applications. Domestic rare earth supply chains remain concentrated geographically, creating potential economic and strategic implications for companies and governments seeking diversified sourcing. Apex's project advancement could contribute to supply chain resilience, though the deposit's commercial viability—dependent on size, extraction economics, and environmental licensing—remains to be determined through further technical and economic study.
