BRABUS and Fragment Design collaborate on limited-edition electric motorcycle with minimalist aesthetics

BRABUS partnered with Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara's Fragment Design to create a limited-edition Urban E motorcycle, with only 10 examples produced worldwide. The collaboration maintains the original 27-kW electric motor but introduces a restrained black-and-white visual treatment featuring exposed carbon fiber and subtle Fragment branding integrated into the taillight design. The bike delivers 37 horsepower, up to 150 km city range, and multiple riding modes including a 10-second nitrous power boost.
The partnership emerged organically when Fragment Design's Hiroshi Fujiwara encountered a BRABUS Urban E during Milan's Design Week in April 2026, leading him to purchase his own model. This chance meeting evolved into a formal collaboration that channels Fujiwara's signature restraint—the Fragment branding appears subtly integrated into the taillight rather than as prominent exterior badging.
The special edition maintains identical mechanical specifications to the standard Urban E, meaning its $50,000 price premium reflects the designer collaboration and limited production run of just 10 units. BRABUS is leveraging the partnership beyond the motorcycle itself, developing a companion capsule collection that includes leather riding gear and apparel.
This collaboration may signal growing crossover between high-fashion designers and automotive manufacturers seeking to elevate consumer gadgets into lifestyle statements. The $50,000 price point targets affluent collectors rather than mass-market riders, potentially establishing a template where design prestige justifies significant premiums. However, such exclusivity—limited to 10 units globally—restricts the model's broader influence on electric motorcycle adoption or design trends within the wider industry.
