LiveU and Airwise Form Strategic Partnership for Integrated Drone Operations Platform

LiveU and Airwise have partnered to integrate LiveU's bonded video transmission capabilities with Airwise's drone fleet management and airspace awareness platform, creating a unified solution for public safety agencies. The combined system eliminates the need for agencies to integrate multiple vendors' tools by providing fleet management, airspace compliance, and real-time video distribution in a single operational interface. The partnership will be demonstrated at DRONERESPONDERS TEXCON 2026 in October.
LiveU brings specialized expertise in resilient video transmission across multiple network connections, while Airwise contributes drone fleet coordination and airspace compliance management. By combining these capabilities into a single platform, the partnership addresses a key operational challenge for emergency response organizations: the complexity and inefficiency of managing separate systems from different vendors that don't communicate seamlessly with one another.
The integration allows public safety teams to access fleet management, airspace awareness, and video streaming functions through one unified interface. A coordinator from the Tulsa Fire Department noted that this consolidation enables operators to concentrate on mission objectives and regulatory compliance while the technology handles video delivery automatically.
This partnership may accelerate adoption of drone technology in emergency response by reducing implementation barriers and training requirements for agencies. By eliminating vendor integration headaches, departments could deploy drone operations more rapidly during critical incidents. The streamlined approach could also lower total ownership costs for municipalities. However, reliance on a single integrated platform may create dependency risks if technical issues arise, potentially affecting multiple operational functions simultaneously.
