Game Informer Unveils New Ziggs Card for Upcoming Riftbound Radiance Expansion
Riftbound, the League of Legends card game, is preparing to launch its Radiance set on October 23, featuring numerous cards for players to incorporate into their decks. Game Informer has obtained exclusive access to reveal Ziggs, Explosive, a new card that captures the champion's explosive playstyle through Bomb gear tokens. The card design honors both Ziggs' identity as a mid-lane artillery expert and his reputation for causing chaos with long-range explosives.
The Radiance set represents an upcoming expansion for Riftbound, Legends of Runeterra's card game adaptation based on the popular League of Legends universe. This October 23 launch will introduce multiple new collectible cards designed to refresh competitive and casual play experiences. Game Informer's exclusive preview highlights how individual champion cards reflect their source material, translating distinctive abilities and thematic elements into gameplay mechanics that resonate with players familiar with the original characters.
This card reveal may generate interest among the existing Riftbound player base by offering fresh deck-building possibilities and strategic directions. The exclusive media coverage could drive engagement with both the card game and Game Informer's platform, potentially attracting players seeking early information about expansion content. For the broader gaming industry, such coordinated reveals demonstrate how licensed digital card games leverage established franchises and media partnerships to maintain player investment and sustain revenue through regular content updates.
