Circle to Embed USDC and EURC Stablecoin Payments in SAP Financial Software
Circle is working with Tereina, an SAP-backed financial services firm, to add USDC and EURC payments to SAP financial workflows. Businesses would be able to send and receive the dollar- and euro-pegged stablecoins inside applications they already use for payments. The partners plan to test the integration with customers for cross-border payments and corporate treasury operations, and they did not disclose financial terms.
Circle is teaming with Tereina, an SAP-supported financial services provider, to place USDC and EURC into SAP-based finance processes. Tereina supplies embedded payment rails for business software, so companies could handle dollar- and euro-linked stablecoin transfers without leaving their usual systems.
The companies intend to trial the capability with clients in the near term, focusing on international payments and corporate treasury tasks. They did not reveal deal terms. The move comes after Circle introduced Arc’s mainnet, a layer-1 network for stablecoin payments that uses USDC for fees and hosts over 20 fiat-backed tokens, including USDC and EURC.
If adopted, embedding USDC and EURC in SAP-linked finance tools could make stablecoin transfers more routine for businesses and their international counterparties. Treasury staff, suppliers, and cross-border payees may see faster or simpler settlement options, though outcomes depend on customer testing and controls. Wider use could also prompt scrutiny of how private stablecoins interact with traditional banking, accounting, and compliance systems. The effect on society would likely hinge on whether these workflows move beyond pilots into everyday corporate payments.
