Connect Media Expands CRE News Reach With RENTV Purchase

Connect Media has acquired RENTV.com and its related video, podcast and conference assets. Financial terms were not disclosed, and Connect Media CEO Daniel Ceniceros will lead the combined company. The purchase adds roughly 50,000 commercial real estate readers and extends Connect Media’s reach from Texas to the West Coast.
Connect Media, a Los Angeles-based private media firm, describes itself as the largest commercial real estate news provider. Its acquisition of RENTV.com, started in 1998, also brings the REview video product, CRE Talk podcast and conference business under its umbrella. The deal's price was not made public.
RENTV's coverage spans California, the Pacific Northwest and Southwest, with categories for retail, multifamily, finance and property management. Connect Media expects to add about 50,000 CRE readers, extend its reach from Texas westward to the Pacific Coast, bring RENTV conferences to Seattle and San Diego, and manage the 2026 Arizona State of the Market Conference in Scottsdale on Oct. 29.
The combined outlet may give CRE professionals, advertisers and event attendees a broader information and networking platform, potentially making industry news and conferences more accessible across western markets. Readers in Seattle, San Diego, California, Arizona and nearby regions could see more local coverage, while smaller independent CRE publishers may face stronger competition for attention and advertising. Because the companies did not disclose terms, the deal's financial effects on employees, clients and media competition remain uncertain.
