Phoenix Cyclops Joins Marvel Tokon Roster in November

Arc System Works has revealed Phoenix Cyclops as a DLC fighter for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, set to arrive on 2nd November. The character mixes long-range and close-quarters attacks, gathers Solar Shards through Optic Blasts, and can transform into Dark Phoenix. Classic and Legacy costumes will be available as DLC, and a three-hour PS Plus Premium trial for the game is out now.
Phoenix Cyclops is an alternate Scott Summers empowered by the Phoenix Force, a concept first seen in the 2012 Avengers vs. X-Men event. Arc System Works has positioned him as the first of four Year 1 Pass fighters for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls.
His moveset combines projectiles, rushes, throws, setup tools, and varied Optic Blasts. Collecting four Solar Shards enables a Dark Phoenix transformation. Classic and Legacy costumes are also planned as DLC, and PS Plus Premium members can try the game for three hours now.
The addition of Phoenix Cyclops may give lapsed Marvel Tokon players a reason to return, especially fighting-game fans who follow seasonal rosters. A PS Plus Premium trial could lower the barrier for curious subscribers, potentially widening the player pool and supporting online matchmaking. If the character and patches improve momentum, they might also help repair the game's reputation after its PC troubles, though the effect on the broader entertainment culture is likely modest.
