Four Europe-based firms raised billion-dollar-plus rounds, close to 40% of quarterly capital. Nscale’s convertible note reached $3.36 billion; Helsing raised $1.8 billion and Quantum Systems $1.2 billion. Defense, data centers, energy, aerospace, and robotics accounted for roughly half of funding. Late-stage deals drew $17.3 billion across 83 companies, early-stage $5.7 billion, and seed about $2 billion.
The surge could affect European workers, researchers, and consumers as AI, defense, energy, and data-center ventures scale. New capital may create specialized jobs and accelerate tools in health, industry, and security, while also concentrating resources in a few sectors and hubs. Startups in Germany, France, and smaller markets might gain visibility, but the benefits may depend on how broadly hiring, infrastructure,
