Canon Pixma G3270 MegaTank printer falls to $144 on Amazon
The Canon Pixma G3270 is an entry-level MegaTank all-in-one printer with refillable ink tanks, wireless printing, copying, and scanning. It includes enough ink for up to 6,000 black pages and 7,700 color pages, and Amazon has reduced its price to $144 from $248.99. A review praised its inexpensive operation and text output, though photo prints on coated paper were less impressive than dedicated photo printers.
The G3270 is an entry-level MegaTank all-in-one for homes and small offices. It uses refillable ink tanks, ships with enough ink for about 6,000 black and 7,700 color pages, and handles wireless printing, copying, and scanning. It prints up to 11 black pages per minute, has a 100-sheet rear tray, a 1.35-inch screen, and Wi-Fi/USB; automatic document feeding and duplexing are not included.
Amazon lists it at $144, down from $248.99, though a $130 deal appeared in October 2024. A review awarded four stars, citing low running costs and strong text output, while coated-paper photos looked flatter than dedicated photo printers. The Epson EcoTank ET-2410 is noted as a close rival at $180.
This discount may make cartridge-free printing more accessible to households, remote workers, and small businesses that print regularly, potentially lowering long-term ink expenses. It could also encourage more people to consider tank printers over cartridge models, though those needing high-quality photo output or office automation may still prefer other devices. The broader effect may be modest, as printer deals influence only buyers already shopping for hardware.
